Ro Poulter lives in one of our courts in Surrey and was nominated for the Good Neighbours Award this year at the Spirit of Housing & Care 21 Awards.
She has encouraged our residents and others in the community to give computers a go, and as a result of her work, at least eight of the residents (all over 75) have now purchased their own iPads or laptops. She does weekly lessons and offers them continuing support.
In addition to this, Ro is very involved with the Green Johanna programme, which is about turning kitchen waste into compost and currently runs at a number of our schemes.
Ro’s nomination stated, “Ro is always willing to step in and help wherever possible… It would be really good to get recognition for her contribution to improving court life…”
