Five of our care teams land place in awards final

Five of our care teams have made the finals of The Oscars of the care world.

Care teams from Housing & Care 21 are in the finals in the North West, North East, East Midlands and West Midlands regions of the prestigious Great British Care Awards.

Teams at three of our extra care schemes; Goldfield Court, Deighton court and Applegarth Court made the final of eight awards between them, including the Care Team Award, the frontline leaders award and the registered manager award.

Meanwhile our home care teams in Loughborough and Preston also made the finals in the Care Team Award category.

All of the finalists have now been interviewed and a series of regional award ceremonies will be held in November at high profile venues across the country.

If successful the teams will go through to the national grand final next year.

Bruce Moore, our chief executive, said: "We are absolutely delighted that so many of our care teams have been recognised with places in the final of these prestigious awards.

"This recognition is thoroughly deserved and really is a mark of the fantastic care work that our teams are providing across the country.

"It is particularly pleasing that the nominations have come from both our extra care and home care teams which shows the strength in depth we have as an organisation."
