Local businesses wanted for new Settle scheme

hair_salon.jpgA new housing scheme in Settle has created business opportunities for local people. Limestone View, Housing & Care 21’s latest extra care development, is inviting applications from caterers and hairdressers to run the on-site restaurant and hair salon.

The 50 apartment scheme, which will open in October of this year, will provide these facilities to both residents and visitors to the scheme.

The catering opportunity includes a fully equipped catering kitchen with a lease that is offered rent free for the first six months. The main focus is to offer a hot meal to residents at Limestone View on a daily basis with a view to extending the catering provision to the wider local community.

Hairdressers applying to run the fully equipped salon will receive a two month rent free lease to assist with their initial costs. The salon will also be open to both residents and the local community.

Laura Francis, Assistant Development Programme Manager for Housing & Care 21 said: “We are trying to ensure that local people benefit from living, working and enjoying life at Limestone View. This is a fantastic scheme for Settle and these are great opportunities for local people wishing to either start up or expand an existing business.”
